Commissioner of  Clubs- Logan Bishop
I’ve always appreciated the positive effects that our on-campus clubs have on the students, school, and community. Clubs like TASSEL, Red Cross, Urban Sustainability, and many others work hard and succeed in improving the world we live in and helping others. The clubs that don’t necessarily exist to actively support the community are still very valuable, as they help people make friends based on common interests. Whether it be SkillsUSA, FBLA, or the Coin Club, they all give our school a stronger sense of community. Alongside my interest in clubs, I’ve always been interested in leadership; I spent all three years of middle school in ASB. I would love to represent the clubs of SPHS and help them achieve their goals in the 2020-2021 school year.
One of the ways I will combat low club activity is by pushing for the creation of a second club rush in the beginning of the Second Semester. Giving students another taste of each club and another chance to join will greatly increase club participation. I will also ensure to promote major club events through the school website and social media and encourage club presidents to properly manage their social media accounts. I am a good listener, communicator, and approach issues or problems with the belief that I can fix them. I enjoy working with others and am capable of juggling the many tasks that come with the position.
