What motivated you to run for Commissioner of Correspondence? What makes you unique amongst other candidates? What skills make you qualified for this position?

I am running for this position because it is not something I have done before and am willing to try.  This position best suits me because I really enjoy writing.  What makes me unique among other candidates is that I am very outgoing: I am always willing to talk to others and make them laugh.  If there is a new person in the crowd, I would be the first to greet them.  I am most qualified for this position because I am responsible and organized, a very good notetaker, and willing to listen to what others have to say.

What attributes do you possess that will contribute best to the ASB Leadership class?

I am both entertaining and responsible.  I am always trying to make others laugh while still keeping my mind focused. Lastly, I am always eager to hear other’s opinions and I truly love helping others.

“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” -Winston Churchill.  Interpret this quote and how it applies to the courage one must possess to become successful as a leader.

To be a leader, one must be in balance with their own thoughts and ideas while also being able to listen to what others have to say.  This skill requires courage as it is difficult to acquire.  A strong leader is able to distinguish which skill is needed to solve a problem or take on a challenge.
